It has a fragrant aroma and bright hue, reflecting the high grade quality. As an usucha, I found it to be quite astringent. However, when prepared as an iced matcha latte, the floral notes become more pronounced and the texture was well balanced. This is perfect for those who enjoy drinking matcha as a latte.

This matcha powder is so good! It's incredibly smooth and balanced. It was very fragrant and had a beautiful green color to it. I used the 4g of matcha powder to 40g of water ratio and it microfoamed so well!! Highly recommend combining it with oatmilk as it pairs VERY nicely and doesn't have any bitter notes at all!

I have seen lots of people reviewing and making TikTok’s about how good this matcha is, and I have to say it was very smooth and enjoyable. Not the most naturally sweet which is what I usually look for but fresh and works well in iced matcha lattes

It’s very fragrant, a wonderful green color, and the tasty matcha flavor comes in through every sip with no bitterness or fishy odor. It’s not too strong which is perfect for everyday matcha. First time purchasing from this brand, and I can say I will definitely be repurchasing again. The quality is there, the color is there, but I will say I do like a stronger matcha flavor. I don't know the terminology but if you like a stronger matcha then maybe you won't like this. For me this is great for a daily matcha latte especially for the price point and portion. So I can see this can either be a hit or miss for some people, but I will say this reminds me of a mix of Ippodo Sayaka. If your new to matcha, this is definitely worth trying you will not regret it.

After my second tin of the Meiko matcha from 100g İ now ordered Misaki.. omg amazing smooth and a little sweet flavour, İ am literally obsessed with both these flavours, if there was an option to buy 100g of Misako İ would immediately buy one!! This was my first fancy matcha and it definitely lived up to my expectations. I really enjoyed this matcha. It was a vibrant colour, foamed very well, it was creamy and had a slight sweetness to it which meant I didn't need to add additional syrups or honey. I really enjoyed this and there is a lot that comes in the bag inside the tin.

My Meiko 100g tin review

(Shipping and Delivery)
* Shipping is excellent i had ordered this on November 4th and then received in the mail on November 6th. Upon delivery from fedex the tin inside the package arrived safely, wrapped in bubble wrap with no signs of damage or dents, which I’m so happy because I’m a sucker for such unique packaging to display or collect.

(Details in Packaging)
* The packaging of this brand is excellent I love how simple and niche it looks comes in a grey tin as advertised and also comes inside a silver light-proof bag. The tin is air-proof tight so you don’t have to worry about oxidation.

(Color & Fragrant Notes)
* First impressions I was shock the color is bright bold green as in fresh type vibrant shade of green and the smell is just as described with top notes of full bodied floral aromas with little to no vegetal middle notes and on top of that I can also smell hints of dark chocolate at the end.

(Taste & flavor profile)
* Meiko on its own is light not bold but creamy and mellow with no signs of bitterness or astringency, its not very “grassy” but it is naturally sweet almost dessert-like. I personally think that this matcha powder is perfect on its own & it’s great for beginner friendly since its not really umami or strong.

(Preparation)
* If you want to add sweetener i strongly suggest to combine “Meiko” with a floral sweetener such as rose syrup. When making my matcha I like to use 3 grams of matcha powder, 5 or 6 grams of syrup, 45ml of hot (not boiling water) with 100ml of vegan milk and it pairs beautifully with oat milk allowing the flavors of this delicacy to shine through enough without being overpowered.

(Satisfaction and Rating)
* The quality, fragrant Notes and flavor profile combined with the price point of 48$ for a 100g tin is a wow to me. I’m amazed ,satisfied and impressed. I would totally recommend this to people who drink matcha on the daily. Overall I rate this matcha a 9.5/10.

Meiko matcha is just so good. So fragrant upon opening! To me it’s perfect for and everyday matcha latte and taste like melted chocolate ice cream. 100% recommend. I always find myself reaching for this one specifically every morning

This is the perfect chasen to make matcha green tea. It’s high quality with more and thicker prongs. Do not buy a chasen from Amazon! They are poor quality and not worth the money.

I really liked this matcha. The color and the smell were delightful. As for taste, I tried it with plant-based milk and the combination was very good (my favourite is the one with almond milk). The 'bad thing' about my order is that the shipment price to Spain was a bit high and the 20g tin finished too quickly : (

A beautiful vibrant green color with a smooth, buttery, and slightly floral taste. There is no astringency and is great by itself or as a latte! This is my new go to and I highly recommend!
