Our signature Uji houjicha powder is deep roasted to bring out the captivating toasty aromas with a hint of caramelized sugar — ideal for use in recipes

This reserve houjicha powder is made from carefully selected tea leaves from the renowned tea-growing region of Uji that are steamed, dried, and artisan roasted to bring out the distinctive aromas of toasted nuts, coffee, and caramelized sugar. We use proprietary ‘deep-roasting’ techniques, manually calibrating the roasting time and temperature to imbue the tea with the perfect intensity and robustness. This roasted tea is milled into a fine powder, which can easily be incorporated into any drink or dessert recipes such as houjicha lattes, ice-cream and desserts.

This houjicha powder is ideal as an ingredient for use in lattes, smoothies, desserts, and other culinary creations.

AMAZING!

This was my first time ever trying Houjicha and it was SO delicious, i did my research before buying because i heard Houjicha can give you a fishy aftertaste if its not great quality and i can confirm this WAS NOT the case here, i love having a warm cup with a very clean oat milk in the early evenings, and the caffeine in it doesn't keep me up at night which is unheard of for me with caffeinated drinks, especially with having adhd. (i found my cup of Houjicha works best combined with the 'Plenish' oat milk because the ingredients is only oats and salt) and the packaging is really nice too! My tin was slightly dented but that was okay the quality of the Houjicha was spot on for me! i will definitely be purchasing again, hoping you guys don't go out of stock again 🤞🏼😉 Love you guys, thank you!!

Creamy and chocolatey

This is the first time I have purchased Hojicha powder and I adore it!! I love to blend it with unsweetened soy milk and add a tiny dash of pistachio syrup! It tastes like a very rich chocolate green tea latte this way.

Pleasantly surprised

This is only the 2nd blend of houjicha I've ever tried, so I can't say I'm too familiar with what is "good" and "bad" like I have with matcha. However, I can definitely say that this houjicha is good quality and a pretty good deal for the price. It has slighlty more floral notes than the previous brand I tried and goes well in baking cookies. If you want a good entry level houjicha, I'd recommend picking this up. Got the goods quickly too!
